In a demonstration of commitment to grassroots education, the Legislative Leader of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon Leonard Nzemeke , has extended a lifeline of support to pupils of Abuanor Primary School Ogwashi uku, distributing writing materials, school bags, water cans, and chalkboards to no fewer than 470 children.

Hon. Nzemeke, who was accompanied by a strong delegation that included the Vice Chairman, Hon Patricia Ekwutozam Adolue , the Majority Leader of the 7th Assembly, Hon. Maduemezie Patrick , Hon. Fidelis Okpunor, Hon. Frank Onwordi, and Mr. Emmanuel Nbanwa, emphasized that the gesture was his way of giving back to society. Others in attendance were Prince Ndubuisi Ekwenuya a.k.a (Wantilo ), Mr. Collins Adigwe, Rev. John Okolie, Dim Dike Anyibuofu, and Mr. H. JohnPaul.

Speaking during the event, Nzemeke noted that education remains the greatest investment in the future of children and society at large.

“As the chief lawmaker of Aniocha South, I must lead by example. Academic success begins at the elementary level, and it is our duty as leaders and citizens collectively to ensure that every child is given a solid foundation to excel,” he said.

The Vice Chairman, Hon. Patricia Adolue, reinforced this call, stressing the need for all stakeholders to support the Executive Chairman, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike , in his visionary drive to upgrade school infrastructure and promote holistic education.

“The time has come for everyone , government, private individuals, alumni, and organizations ; to key into the chairman’s consolidatory agenda in education. By improving learning environments and encouraging extracurricular activities, we are raising not just pupils, but well-rounded future leaders,” she added.

The Headmistress of Abuanor Primary School, Mrs. Bethel Uzumefune, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Nzemeke and his team for their intervention, noting that government alone cannot shoulder the burden of education.

“This gesture is a clear reminder that it takes the collective effort of alumni, parents, stakeholders, and the wider community to create an enabling atmosphere for learning,” she said.

The event ended on a high note, with excited pupils proudly clutching their new school supplies, a visible testimony of how little acts of kindness can inspire big dreams.
