The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, earlier today led a high-powered delegation on separate condolence visits to the families of Late Chief A. C. Okocha in Ogwashi-Uku and His Royal Majesty, Obi Dr. Henry Afamefune Kikachukwu (JP), the Obi of Ubulu-Unor, following the passing of his beloved wife, Queen Ekene Anthonia Kikachukwu (Nee Mukolu).

Accompanied by his dear wife and First Lady of Aniocha South, Mrs. Ella Jude Chukwunwike, and the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Leonard Nzemeke, Pastor Chukwunwike described both losses as deeply painful, not only to the immediate families but also to the entire Aniocha South community.

At the residence of Late Chief A. C. Okocha ,a renowned business mogul, politician, and philanthropist ,the Council Chairman expressed heartfelt shock at his passing, extolling his remarkable life of service, generosity, and dedication to humanity.

“Chief Okocha lived a purposeful life marked by his passion for community advancement and the infrastructural betterment of his people,” Pastor Chukwunwike said. “He was a man of uncommon vision and compassion whose legacies will continue to speak for generations. His death is a painful reminder of how fleeting life can be, yet his impact remains indelible.”



He urged the bereaved family to take solace in the noble legacies their father left behind, encouraging them to sustain his virtues of kindness, hard work, and philanthropy.

In a similar show of empathy, the delegation visited the palace of HRM Obi Dr. Henry Afamefune Kikachukwu (JP) to commiserate with him over the passing of his dear wife and queen mother, Queen Ekene Anthonia Kikachukwu.

Speaking with deep emotion, Pastor Chukwunwike noted that the visit was to convey words of comfort and solidarity during the trying time, praying for God’s strength, peace, and fortitude for the monarch and his household.

“No words can truly heal the vacuum left by the passing of a beloved wife and queen,” he said. “But we trust in the unfailing grace of God to comfort His Majesty and the royal family. The late Queen lived a life of grace, humility, and devotion, her memory will remain a blessing.”



Responding, HRM Obi Kikachukwu expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Council Chairman and his entourage for their visit, describing the gesture as a true reflection of leadership with a human face. He prayed for divine guidance and wisdom upon the Chukwunwike-led administration.

The Council Chairman was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Ella Chukwunwike, the Legislative Leader, Hon. Leonard Nzemeke, Deputy Leader, Hon. David Omah, and other Councilors including Hon. Fidelis Okpunor, Hon. Frank Ikeagwunachi, Hon. Steve Izedunor, Dr. Patrick Onyekanna, and Hon. Timothy Uwandi.
Others include: Hon.Elo Patrick Maduemezie, and Hon.Uche Martin Okocha.

Also in attendance were the Supervisory Councillors for Works, Comrade Chekwume Okonji Promise; Education, Comrade Victor Dike; Environment, Comrade Austin Unorchie; and the Special Adviser to the Chairman, Mr. John Odiaka.

Through these condolence visits, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike once again demonstrated his compassionate leadership and unwavering commitment to standing with his people in both moments of joy and seasons of grief.
